disorders who have Social Emotional earning Disorders including NLD,
Asperger’s Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, ADHD, etc. We have
a robust community Outreach Program which includes educational and social
development groups, parent support groups and education presentations
for patients, families, teachers, therapists, and other professionals.
RNBC partners with the Chicago Public Library System, Chicago
Public Schools, and Chicago Archdiocese Schools.
Responsibilities include patient care, pharmacological management, intervention
development, program development and teaching. There are research opportunities
in the area of Social Emotional Learning Disabilities.

Rush NeuroBehavioral Center
The Rush Neurobehavioral Center (RNBC) located in Skokie, Illinois, part of Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Professor-level Pediatric Psychologist/Neuropsychologist with expertise in brain-based neurobehavioral disorders, particularly those that are characterized by social impairment, such as Asperger Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, and Nonverbal Learning Disabilities. We are particularly interested in candidates who are trained in evidence-based assessment and treatment practices for children with autism-spectrum disorders.
RNBC is a growing, dynamic, multi-disciplinary center dedicated to serving the medical, psychological, and educational needs of children with brain-based neurobehavioral disorders, with a particular emphasis on the social impairment characteristic of the autism-spectrum disorders. We fulfill this mission by providing assessment, treatment, and educational services, and by conducting programmatic research on the nature, assessment, and treatment of social-emotional learning processes that affect children’s social success.
RNBC psychologists offer comprehensive assessment services, detailed treatment planning, consultation with schools and other service providers, case management, and treatment services. Core responsibilities of this position include conducting diagnostic evaluations of children ages 3 to 18, consultation with families and schools, and case management. In addition, candidate will be expected to contribute to other aspects of the center, tailored to the interests and talents. We have growing education, treatment, and research programs, with opportunities for involvement in clinic- and school-based intervention and research programs. We also offer professional opportunities such as teaching and supervision and participating in weekly seminars.
Qualified candidates must possess a doctoral degree in Psychology, Neuropsychology, or Clinical Psychology and be licensed or license-eligible in Illinois. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, 2 assessment reports, and current curriculum vitae.
